Kahar Zalmay

Kahar Zalmay covers Pakistan and beyond. Born in the province of Pukhtunkhwa, Kahar wrote for The Statesman - a regional Pakistani paper - before becoming a TV reporter for AVT Khyber. After the earthquake in Pakistan in 2005, Kahar provided crucial support to the BBC's post-disaster reporting. His investigative stories have appeared in Pakistan's The News and the Daily Times Pakistan. He speaks Pashto, Urdu and English.
